Scope and Content

The collection consists of: newscuttings of exhibitions including 'Woman Magic', Bristol, 1979 which highlighted the spirituality of women. Catalogue: 'The Book of Paradise on Earth' (a work in progress) by Beverley Skinner, includes colour photocopies of a selection of her paintings. Photograph of Beverley Skinner in her garden, 1996 and black and white photograph of her mother. Poem 'Our Daughter' by Beverley Skinner, 1978. Copy of her birth chart. 15 colour slides of her work, 1962-1990.

Administrative / Biographical History

Beverley Skinner was born in America in 1938. She studied at Hammersmith Art College and later lived in Cromer, Norfolk and Bristol. Beverley Skinner died in 1999. 'My paintings are here to help this world, to become a kinder and a happier place to be' Beverley Skinner, 1994.
