Administrative / Biographical History

Richard Buswell Allnutt (b 1907) first served as Agricultural Officer in Lindi Province, Tanganyika, 1932-1936. He then held posts in the Colonial Agricultural Service in Antigua, Nigeria and the Leeward Islands, c1936-1948, before serving as Director of Agriculture in the Leeward Islands, 1948-1951. He was married twice, first to France Armstrong in 1932, then to Bertha Janet Bishop in 1940, with whom he had four children.
