Thomas Gearing, M.A., and Anne Marshall, widow, of Willingham lease to Edward Negus, blacksmith, of Willingham, a piece of land ... to convert use into possession. This piece of parchment has been used as a binding for a collection of paper sheets bearing the minutes of Courts Baron etc. held in sundry manors of Cambridgeshire (see MS Doc.1671). The parchment is not quite complete as the right-hand edge has been cut away and part of the bottom, so that the names of the witnesses have gone.
