Scope and Content

Certifying that Christopher Newton gent, of Hamerton, Huntingdonshire and John Warth of Chatteris, farmer, eldest son of John Warth, farmer, late of Chatteris, deceased, respectively mortgagee and mortgagor of the premises in question, have surrendered (out of court, on 20 Sep 1794) by the hands of William Dunn gent, steward of the manor of Chatteris Ramsey, various lands in Mill Field and Delve Field, all in Chatteris, to the use of George Brooks of Chatteris, baker, and his heirs. Also certifying that Brooks is now admitted to the said premises. Copy of court roll, examined by William Dunn; Thomas Carill Worsley and the heirs of Samuel Tarry being lords of the manor, duty stamps, rent set at one shilling, with a guinea fine.
