Administrative / Biographical History

John Pughe (d. 1737) of Bodilan, Llanfihangel-y-pennant, Merionethshire, was the son of William Pughe. He married firstly Anne Wynne (d. 1729) in 1719, and secondly Anne Thomas in 1731. Following his death in 1737, his wife continued to live at Bodilan until c. 1789. Richard Pughe (fl. 1790-1832) was rector of Llanfrothen, Merionethshire. His daughter was married to Evan Jones (fl. 1838-1857) of Ynysfor, Llanfrothen. By 1860, John Jones lived at Ynysfor.
