Scope and Content

Four diaries and one sketchbook, including some printed items.
Contributors include:
Samuel Paget, banker, shipowner and brewer, of Great Yarmouth, married Sarah Elizabeth, daughter of Thomas Tolver of Chester. Their children included Arthur Coyte Paget (1808-1833); Sir George Edward Paget (1809-1892), Regius Professor of Physic, Cambridge, 1872-1892; Sir James Paget (1814-1899), 1st Baronet, physician at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, 1839-1884, and Vice-Chancellor of London University, 1884-1895; and Alfred Tolver Paget (1818-1862), Master of Shrewsbury School, 1840-1855, and Rector of Kirstead, Norfolk, with Langhale, Suffolk, 1856-1862. There was also a daughter, Katharine.
