Administrative / Biographical History

William Kerr obtained an associatehip in mechanical engineering at the Glasgow and West of Scotland Technical College in 1911. Following a period of work with the Fairfield Shipbuilding and Engineering Company, he joined the staff of the College, becoming associate Professor of Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering, 1924-1936, and Professor of Mechanical Engineering, 1936-1947.
