Albert Ernest Stubbs 1877-1962

MP, Labour Party organiser and Chairman of workers' side of Agricultural Wages Committee. Stubbs was formerly a machinist on a daily paper. He became President of Cambridge Trades Council and Labour Party in 1916. He was an Alderman for Cambridge Borough and County, 1942. Stubbs contested Cambridgeshire, 1918, 1922 and 1923, and was Labour MP for the constituency from 1945 to 1950.
