Scope and Content

At a Court Baron of the Rev. Ralph Tatham, D.D., Master of St. John's College and the Fellows and Scholars, lord of the Manor, before Ernest Frederick Fiske, gent., deputy steward of Christopher Pemberton, esq., chief steward. The homage presents the death of William Coote, a customary tenant and to this Court comes Eyre Coote, his only son and heir, and prays admittance as tenant of the land lying in Holders' Croft, numbered 172 on the plan of the Commissioners for inclosing the parish...to which William Coote, deceased, was admitted tenant as the only son and heir of William Coote 19 Aug. 1805. And Eyre Coote is admitted. Examined by Clement Francis 24 Sept. 1851 for Christopher Pemberton, late Steward, deceased.
