This is a small, miscellaneous collection of records relating to Culsh, Durris and other Aberdeenshire estates. The Culsh records comprise reports, letters and plans concerning the straightening of the march between the lands of the Earl of Aberdeen and Dr Dingwall Fordyce of Culsh, 1827 - 1829. They include reports and map prepared by William Whyte, Surveyor. The Durris records comprise 5 rentals and related papers of property belonging to Alexander Walker MacTier, 1868 - 1871. Although not fully listed, the other records in the collection seem to relate principally, though not exclusively, to the Pitmurchie estate, and date from the 1820s to the 1880s. They include a 13 page roup roll of the effects of the Rev. William Shand of Lumphanan, 1826; 5-page roup roll of cattle and farm stock at Pitmurchie, 1830; return of arable ground in grain under a 5 year rotation, New Deer, 1852; loan from the Inclosure Commissioners to Robert Fiddes, of the Manse of Kinellan for drainage of land, 1847; plan of Shannaburn Farm, 1826 with statement of rotation of cropping, 1828; and valuation of the estate of Pitmurchie, 1883 - 1884.
