In consideration of 40 pounds, paid in annual instalments of 5 pounds down to 1452, John Hynton, butcher, William Roger, butcher, John ?Veell, grocer, and Thomas Heyrman, chandler, convey to Thomas Jakenet, John Scot, Robert Joynowr, John Stowe, and John Lytelbode, a tenement with two solars in the parish of St Mary the Virgin, Cambridge, between a tenement belonging to Corpus Christi College to the north and the market place to the south, which property they now hold as a gift from Richard Andrew of Cambridge, spicer, Richard Bush and William Spencer, notaries. Warranty clause by Hynton. At Cambridge, indenture, no signature, witnessed by Thomas Jacob then mayor, William Tame, John Bunne, Benedict Moreys then bailiff, Thomas Goode, and others. Four tagged pendant red round seals, all damaged or missing. Endorsed in several hands (seventeenth-century and later): 'Cambridge No 13', 'Counterpart', 'p 224 L Cant', and '1'.
