Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
Student accommodation was very limited until 1908 when four and a half acres of land was bought in Ealing, near the College sports' ground. Here accommodation was given to 50 male students, under the name University College Hall. It was under the administration of a limited company known as "University College Hall Limited", the directors being Sir William Ramsay, Professor F T Trouton and Walter W Seton, Secretary of the College, 1904-1927. Seton was also the Warden of the Hall from 1912 to 1922. University College Hall was sold in 1948.
