Scope and Content

Whereas the Master, Fellows and Scholars of Peterhouse, Cambridge, by Indenture dated 8 Feb. 1815 let to Thomas Nix, the younger, of Woolley Hill, Isle of Ely, certain lands in Haddenham for a term of twenty-one years with a proviso that the Lease be void if the lessee should alienate without written licence of the lessors; the Master, Fellows and Scholars grant licence to Thomas Nix to sell the land to James Wilks of Ely for the remainder of the term, provided that James Wilks executes a bond for the payment of rent and performance of covenants.
