  • Physical Description
    • 2 vols, manuscript. The earlier volume retains its original white vellum binding on boards with some tooling on the outside covers and marbling on the inside covers and endpapers. The later volume appears to have been rebound with white cloth on boards to match its companion with similar tooling on the outside covers and marbling on the inside covers and endpapers. The earlier volume is dated 'September 1906' on the inside front cover, and there are traces on its outside front cover of J.T. Sewell's name, the date '1907', and a reference to the 'Quaker meeting'. The later volume is dated 'March 1914' on the inside front cover, and bears the inscriptions 'Quaker etc', '1920', and 'Michael Metford-Sewell', '1954' on its outside front cover. Written largely in a single hand, presumably Joseph Sewell's autograph, with a few additions in later hands.
