Scope and Content

This collection comprises five soundscapes of the city of Nottingham recorded by Benjamin Felstead as part of his Masters creative portfolio. Soundscapes feature recordings from Nottingham Market Square, train station, Lace Market Square, and a Nottingham Forest football match.

Administrative / Biographical History

Recordings were created for Ben Felstead's creative portfolio as part of his Masters in Sonic Art at the University of Sheffield. In May 2019, Benjamin Felstead (aka Trekkah) was commissioned to compose a soundscape piece for the Wigflex City Arts Festival in Nottingham, funded by the Arts Council. It was this piece entitled ‘My Home is in Nottingham’ that inspired the creative portfolio. The collection was deposited with EMOHA in February 2020.
