Administrative / Biographical History

Andrew M. Ramsay was born in Glasgow in 1859. He was educated at school in Linlithgow, and studied at the University of Glasgow. Latterly he was an ophthalmic surgeon at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, and had been Professor of Opthalmology at St. Mungo's College, Glasgow. He died in 1946.
