Euan Duff photographs

The three groups of photographs are as follows. 1. 'How We Are' documents the ordinary lives of people in the 1960s and contains photographs taken on the street and in homes and workplaces. 2. 'Workless' studies unemployment in the 1970s as experienced by one particular family; this collection has an associated book, Workless: Some unemployed men and their families (Penguin, 1975), with photographs by Duff and text by Dennis Marsden. 3. The third captures the 1960s protest marches from the Aldermaston atomic research facility in Berkshire, to London.

Euan Duff is a freelance photo-journalist who has placed three groups of his photographs in the Archive.

The collection is open to all bona fide researchers, by appointment only, telephone or email a week in advance of your intended visit. Researchers must abide by the conditions protecting the collection.

'How We Are' and 'Workless' photographs given, and Aldermaston photographs deposited, by Euan Duff in June 2002 with the Mass-Observation Archive Trust which has deposited them with the University of Sussex.
