Administrative / Biographical History
Small engineering firm. Formed as a result of Scott Lithgow Ltd, shipbuilders, Greenock, Inverclyde, holding company splitting James Mitchell & Son Co Ltd into two companies, namely Inchgreen Engineering Co Ltd , Greenock, Inverclyde, Scotland, and Greenock Engineering Co Ltd .
Incorporated in 1973, the company was later renamed and used by Scott Lithgow Ltd as a vehicle to market tension leg platforms in the offshore industry. In 1976, the dormant engineering company became Scott Lithgow (Offshore) Ltd .
