The University of Portsmouth Collection also includes an academic collection of material from the company L. G. Mouchel & Partners Ltd spanning 1897-1993 comprising mainly project record books [Ref: UP/10/7.1].

The University of Portsmouth was inaugurated on 7 July 1992. The institution was formerly known as Portsmouth Polytechnic.
