Administrative / Biographical History
Rev. Thomas Ellis, born in Flintshire, became the curate of Holyhead in 1737, having graduated from Jesus College Oxford. He was, according to Emyr Gwynne Jones, former Librarian of the University of Wales Bangor, the esteemed friend and confidant of the Morris brothers and their circle. He married in 1762 and died in 1792 at the age of 80.
