Administrative / Biographical History

The Evelyn Coffee Tavern, Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire, was established under a Charity Commission scheme in 1916 to provide a place of rest and refreshment for colliers and mariners in Saundersfoot. After the decline of the coal industry, it functioned as a public hall for the town until a new village hall was built in 1961. The Trust was finally wound up in 1973.
