The will of Richard Adam of Orwell. He leaves his soul to Almighty God, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and All Saints, and desires that his body be buried in the churchyard of Orwell. He leaves a cow to the parish church of Orwell, 13s 4d to the church of Great Eversden, 12d to his daughter Isabel, 12d to William ?Cornes, 8d to Henry Attwell, a quarter (?word faded -ordii?) to Henry Adam. All the rest of his estate goes to his wife Margaret and to Thomas Adam, who are named as joint executors. Witnessed by ?the vicar of the said church, and others. Seal wanting. Endorsed with record of probate at Cambridge in the archdeaconry of Ely, dated 19 Mar 1467, and in a later hand: 'Eversden'. Further endorsed in pencil: '17'.
