Administrative / Biographical History

The farm at Bathampton was held by the Ashford family, about which little is known. The donor's family, however, have long been established in Shrewton, Wiltshire and are noted breeders of Hampshire Devon sheep. J. Dean took possession of the farm at West Gomeldon in about 1920
