Administrative / Biographical History

John Lloyd Williams was an engineering apprentice at Harland and Wolff in Belfast where he began a life-long friendship with Harry Ferguson. He served in the Royal Flying Corps during the First World War, and in the Royal Air Force during the Second, before dying in a road accident in 1940. He was a director of Harry Ferguson Ltd and was involved in the development of hydraulic control systems for tractors
