Four autograph letters and one autograph card signed, Rt Hon Herbert Henry Asquith (1852-1928), to Mr and Mrs Gerald H Blunt.

Concerning payment of rents for property in St Andrews. [St Salvator's, the Blunt's house, formerly St Salvator's School, The Scores]. Signed H.H. Asquith. Dated variously from St Salvator's, St Andrews, 20 Cavendish Square London, and Longniddry, 1899-1902.

Administrative / Biographical History

Rt Hon Herbert Henry Asquith (1852-1928), first earl of Oxford and Asquith, prime minister (1908-1916).

Gerald Henry Blunt married Augusta Louisa Gordon in 1882; they had one son, born the following year in St Andrews.
