This oral history collection comprises 20 interviews with people who had memories of the Leicester and Nottingham ‘Mod’ scene in the 1960s and 1970s. By the mid-60s, Mods had become synonymous with fashion, music, individuality, transport, drug use and anti-social behaviour. These interviews were collected as part of a larger exhibition called ‘The Mods: Shaping a Generation’ at the New Walk Museum, Leicester, between April and June 2019.
