Scope and Content

George Bruce, Notes on British Birds and their Eggs.

An observational notebook, arranged by species order after Macgillivray, with details of sightings etc, mostly in Scotland and predominantly in Fife. Contains various relevant news cuttings.

Volume 1 also contains:-

A loose photograph by Dr John Adamson of Edward Ellice MP, 1865. (cf Album 8.64).

An autograph letter signed from 'A B' to [George Bruce] referring to terns on a small loch near Dumfries, 21 June 1958. Signed 'your affectionate brother A B'.
