Administrative / Biographical History

Barbara Joan Sim was born in South Duffield c.1943. Her association with the Church Army, a society of evangelists within the Anglican Communion, which exists to enable people to come to a living faith in Jesus Christ and reaches out to people in challenging circumstances, began c.1966. By 2011, Barbara was an Ambassador for the Church Army.
Barbara was a gifted singer. She sang in London's Royal Albert and Festival Halls, in York Minster, Canterbury Cathedral and Wakefield Cathedral, as well as entertaining people in care homes and hospitals. Barbara completed foundation courses in Humanities and Theology at the Open University and St. John's University in York prior to 2011
Barbara Joan Sim died in Hemingbrough, Selby, on 19 June 2014 at the age of 71.
