Papers of the Jones family, 1728-1946, comprising letters, 1863-1946; marriage settlements, wills and related documents and deeds relating to Edern, Llanaelhaearn, Llandwrog and Llanystumdwy, Caernarfonshire, 1728-[1937]; financial records relating to one John Roberts, Brynygaidon, 1808-1810, to Tynycoed and Aberkin farms and to Clynnog Grammar School, 1872-1946; diaries of William Jones with miscellaneous insertions, 1869-1917; school reports and other items relating to Cissie Jones, 1897-1903; miscellaneous family papers, 1845-1937.

The Jones family farmed successively at Tynycoed, Clynnog, at Bodaden, Llanwnda, and at Aberkin, Llanystumdwy, all in Caernarfonshire. William Jones (d. c. 1921) farmed Tynycoed until 1899 before moving to Bodaden. William was treasurer of Clynnog Grammar School. In about 1920 the family moved again to Aberkin and following William's death the farm was taken over by [his son?] John Howard Jones (fl. 1920-1946).
