Scope and Content

The video tells the story of the London Missionary Society missionary Eric Liddell, who was an Olympic athlete and who appeared as the main character in the 1981 film Chariots of Fire. Liddell was born in China, the son of LMS missionaries, and returned there to undertake extensive missionary work. This three-part video traces Eric Liddell's life from the 1924 Olympics to his years in war-torn China. The three parts are entitled: 1. The Making of a Champion 2. The Greatest Race 3. Weihsien - The Finish Line 1 hr 30 m.
