The papers consist of two 'Press cutting' books containing cuttings and letters relating to the career of Edward Shortt. Most of the letters and papers are of biographical interest rather than political significance. Press cutting book 2 contains a great deal of newspaper material relating to Shortt's later career, especially as the first British film censor. There is unfortunately little material relevant to his work in Ireland or as a Lloyd George liberal.
