Scope and Content

Lease by John Anstey esq of Hertford St, Mayfair, to Teresa Metcalfe of Bath, widow, of a dwelling house in Marlborough Buildings, Bath, for twenty-one years from 21 June 1816 at an annual rent of #130 10s, she being the current tenant, and having surrendered a seven-year lease with two years unexpired. Anstey undertakes to pay the ground rent. 2 pages, counterpart of a lease, signed and sealed by Teresa Metcalfe, witnesses' names lost, duty stamps, a schedule of locks and other fittings is appended.
