Collection of assorted music

The item contains musical notation to some short pieces including: 'Sir Patrick Spens'; 'Lord Aboyne'; 'The song of the olden time'; 'The convent bell'; 'Der Alpenjaeger'; 'Jock o' Hazeldean'; 'The Laird o' Cockpen'; and, 'For a' that'. There are also some marches, waltzes and polkas.

The bound item of musical manuscript has the name Agnes Morison, 1829, noted inside.

Acquired from Cora Cuthbert, Edinburgh, whose many activities have included viola player with Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Edinburgh, 1950s and 1960s, librarian, and donor. Accession no: E2009.15.
