Scope and Content

Letters, 1942-1969, mainly to the donor Trevor Williams relating to his research on Caradoc Evans, novelist and short story writer, the subject of his PhD from Cardiff University and his book on the author published in the series Writers in Wales in 1970. The writers of the letters include Pauline Block, a maid in Evans's Rhydlewis home, and Evans's wife, Marguerite, who was herself an author writing under the pseudonyms Countess Barcynska or Oliver Sandys.
