Scope and Content

Whereas Richard of Westminster by Indenture dated 28 July 1668 [Doc 248] let to Charles Rampaine of the same certain land in Westminster; and whereas Richard Tufton by Indenture dated 26 March 1669 [Doc 249] let to the same certain further land in Westminster adjoining; and whereas Richard Tufton and Michael Brighouse of the Middle Temple by Indenture dated 15 October 1672 [Doc 250] let to Charles Rampaine the two pieces of land now joined in one with the soil of the ditch that formerly bound them for terms of sixteen, fifteen and forty-three years; and whereas Richard Tufton let to Charles Rampaine by Indenture dated 10 May 1674 certain other land [Doc 252] for a term of forty-three years; Charles Rampaine assigns John Shelton of London the leases and land for the remainder of the terms in trust for the use of Charles Rampaine to the wait for the settlement of the freehold upon Charles Rampaine and his heirs for ever. Witnesses: John Rampayne, William Turner, John Brinkle.
