Administrative / Biographical History
Colin Burton was born on 13 September 1935. He worked at Glinco and then in the experimental department of John Mackintosh & Sons Ltd, the Halifax confectionary company that created the Quality Street chocolate and toffee assortment. Mackintosh merged with Rowntree & Co in 1969 to form Rowntree-Mackintosh Plc.
He died on 5 June 2009.
