Administrative / Biographical History

Merioneth County Council, based in Dolgellau, Merionethshire, was formed under the Local Government Act 1888. It established a County Records Office in XXXX which collected material relating to the county and elsewhere. Miscellaneous typescript and copied material (not forming part of a large collection) was filed by parish.
