Bertha Chandler (Mrs. C. Norman Kemp) was the first woman to obtain the degree of D.Sc. of Edinburgh University July 1915.
The box of Bertha Chandler archives was affected by the July 2021 flood and sent to Harwell to be dried. There is some minor water staining on the thesis and two of the notebooks.
