Administrative / Biographical History

Dr Griffith Evans (1835-1935) was born in Towyn, Merioneth and later lived at Bryncinallt, Bangor, Gwynedd. He was acknowledged as one of the most distinguished vetinary surgeons in the country. He was for 20 years on the staff of the University College of North Wales as lecturer in Vetinary Hygiene. In 1919 he was made Honorary D. Sc. of the University of Wales and in 1931 he received the freedom of the city of Bangor.

Incorporated into the General Collection of Bangor Manuscripts. No apparent system of arrangement.
