Scope and Content

Collection of title deeds, inventories and related papers (including John Turner's last will and testament, 17 Jan 1688) from Colonel C.H. Turner's trust, relating to Kinharrachie Estate, Ellon, Aberdeenshire, 1603 - 1885. Lands mentioned in the papers include Blindburne, Arnage, Little Arnage, Kinharrachie, Tillydesk, Kirkhill, and Hilton. Abstracts of the documents, with list of persons and places mentioned are deposited with the collection.

Administrative / Biographical History

The Trustees of the late Colonel C.H. Turner sold Kinharrachie Estate to Sir Ian Forbes-Leith in 1967.
