Visitors' book. Apparently commenced in 1844 by William Smith, a chemist in St Andrews, Scotland who was a supporter of the London Missionary Society. Entries for 1844-1880 are predominately at St. Andrews. The book later passed into the hands of the family of Marjorie Searle (secretary at the London Missionary Society's office in Sydney, Australia 1924-1969), and 20th century entries are mainly from Australia. Includes poems, thoughts, prayers and Bible extracts written by LMS missionaries and others, including entries from James Legge, Robert Moffat, J.W. Sibree, James Chalmers and Bernard Thorogood.
