A cycle of three interludes on the history of the world, and miscellaneous poems, mainly englynion and poetry in carol metres, autograph, 1739-1758, by Thomas Williams, 'Merchant Taylor' (ca. 1690-1763), Tal-y-bont, Llandygai, Caernarfonshire, all of which appear in his published work Mynegiad yr hen oesoedd ... (London, 1761). Folios i (the original front cover), 1-6, 136-41 are palimpsests. The underwriting, partly legible under ultra-violet light, is from fifteenth and sixteenth century court records relating to Caernarfonshire, consisting mainly of lists of names.
