Scope and Content

The Burma Office Records are divided into eight Series IOR/M/1 and IOR/M/2 comprise files transferred from the Burma branch of the India Office Public and Judicial Department dealing with constitutional reform and Burma's separation from India, 1932-37. IOR/M/3 - IOR/M/8 consist of files produced by the Burma Office, 1937-48, covering all aspects of internal administration and external relations.
