Administrative / Biographical History
Albert Henry Clay (1896-1957) trained with the University of London Officer Training Corps. As 2nd Lieutenant and Acting Captain, 1st Battalion, 10th London (Hackney) Regiment, he served at Gallipoli and in Egypt/Palestine. He was mentioned in Despatches on 3 April 1918 and promoted to the rank of Major on 1 August 1919. He also served with the Home Guard during the Second World War.
