Scope and Content

Acquisition Information

The letters and papers came to the Taylor Institution Library during the librarianship of the late Donald Martell Sutherland, Librarian 1949-70. Many were purchased, with money from the Zaharoff Fund, from dealers' catalogues or in the course of numerous visits to bookshops both in England and on the Continent.
