Scope and Content

Deeds and other documents, 1630-1886, relating mainly to the Powell family of Maesgwyn and to the parishes of Diserth, Llansanffraid-yn-Elfael, Llandegla and Glasgwm, Radnorshire, 1630-1886; and to properties of the Jones family of Bryncynfelyn in the parish of Llanfechain, 1651-1782.

Dr John Griffiths (1862-1935) was High Sheriff of Radnorshire in 1926 and a member of the Llandrinod Urban District Council. He received his medical training at King's College, London.

Arranged into Radnorshire deeds, 1630-1886 , and Montgomeryshire deeds, 1652-1782.
