Most of the Brutus papers are on microfilm, but there is some unfilmed material which has been roughly sorted as follows:

Documents: Poems etc: handwritten and typed drafts of poems 1961 - 1970, including a draft of Letters to Martha; Sport: includes SASA executive reports, minutes, correspondence, memoranda, circulars 1958 - 1961; SAN-ROC correspondence re Olympics, football and tennis 1969 - 1971; papers re Round Table Conference of Major Sporting Bodies Durban 1959; correspondence with New Zealand University Students Association 1970; Miscellaneous political papers: includes Defence and Aid Fund correspondence 1971; affidavits and other documents concerning Brutus's treatment by Portuguese and South African police 1963; Anti-Apartheid Movement documents.
