Scope and Content

The archive includes UNISON NEC papers, 1995-1999; UNISON Senior Management Team minutes, 1993-2000; UNISON Standing Orders Committee 2001; Branch Secretaries' circulars and Information Bulletins, 2000-2001.

In addition to UNISON material the archive includes 9 boxes of NALGO conference papers and some NUPE files on rules, finance and individual union divisions. Additional deposits of minutes have been accessioned at Acc 566 and 637

Administrative / Biographical History

UNISON was formed on 1 July 1993 by the amalgamation of the National and Local Government Officers' Association, the National Union of Public Employees and the Confederation of Health Service Employees.
