Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
The Caterers' Appliances Engineering Company was incorporated as a Limited company in 1919 , and in 1921 the Scottish Caterers' Equipment Company of Bath Street, Glasgow, amalgamated with Caterers' Appliances Engineering Company Ltd. The company changed its name in 1923 to Caterers' Appliances Limited. John Kelly and Son were bought by Caterers' Appliance in 1924, but in 1929 the company no longer wanted to support the Kelly business, and it was sold back to the Kelly company with the condition that all the shares the Kelly's owned were sold back to Caterers' Appliances.
