Cadbury Research Library holds the papers of other staff of the 1st Southern General Hospital, namely William Billington (US100) and Kathleen Grace Lloyd (MS44), and records of the University of Birmingham (ask staff for details).

The records of the University include a complete set of 'The "Southern" Cross' magazine which was produced monthly by staff and patients of the hospital between 1916-1919 (UC/9/iii/25); a second, incomplete, set is held in Cadbury Research Library book collection (shelfmark r R31 S9). Within the University archive collections, there is a letter from [Kathleen Grace] Lloyd to Margery Fry, agreeing to the terms of the rental of University House as a nurses' hostel, 1914 (UB/HUH/A/3/1/2, item 9); and press cuttings from Birmingham newspapers relating to the university including an article of the use of the Great Hall as a hospital during the First World War and the work of Kathleen Grace Lloyd as matron (reference US133).

An embroidered quilt made for Kathleen Lloyd by her patients in the hospital, 1917-1918, is held by Research and Cultural Collections, University of Birmingham (reference: A891).
